Ek Shaqs – Abhijeet Sawant

The nation’s first Indian Idol, Abhijeet Sawant, shot to fame when the entire country became enchanted with his voice. His first album “Aap ka Abhijeet” was a hit too. Now he has come up with his second album – Junoon – which I think has got more depth in it than the previous one. The first video to be aired “Junoon” gave us a new Abhijeet with much stronger vocals. But it’s this song “Ek Shaqs” which has impressed me. The song ‘Ek Shaqs’ wrtten by Saeed quadri makes for a wonderful listening and has been rendered beautifully by Abhijeet. I could really connect with song when it goes “Ek din kisi baat pe jab woh rooth gaya tha, us haadse ke baad, yeh dil toot gaya tha” – cause ..it’s in a moment that things go wrong and never in your wildest dreams would you have thought of it… and how your world falls apart and what you are left with is just memories of moments spent with that one person.

Om Shanti Om’s six-pack punch!

So finally the verdict is out…Om Shanti Om beat Saawariya at the box office!!! Om Shanti Om, is an entertainer that’s on its way to becoming a big hit. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s fairy tale-like love story, Saawariya failed to connect with the audience, and is set to be a major flop, at least that’s what the trade pundits say! People have long been speculating about the fate of these two much-hyped movies!! SRK didn’t just turn out to be a winner at the BO in India but also beat Tom Cruise who starred along with Robert Redford and Meryl Streep in the political drama Lions for Lambs in the US. Om Shanti Om grossed a mighty $17 million gross in India and an estimated $4 million in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and the UAE.

I have Gmail 2.0..what about you?

Hey me got the new version of Gmail…what about you all…??? Well to be sure if you have the latest version ..login to your Gmail account and look at the top right of the page and if you see a link for “Older Version,” that means you have the new Gmail!! Simple!!

Well let me explore as to what new features does version 2.0 has in store for us…well its much more faster, (most important reason why I just love Gmail) addition of features like mail prefetching – which means they prefetch messages in the current view, so when you open an email your browser doesn’t have to talk to Google’s server; it just displays the message….and then there is a different drop-down menu, a new contacts manager, some new keyboard shortcuts and the ability to bookmark specific messages and email searches.
